Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager serves as a team leader, coordinator of resources, problem solver and process owner. He or she plays a crucial role in ensuring the completion of projects on-time, on budget and most importantly, to the satisfaction of our clients.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Informa project development team and the sales training/marketing departments of pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device companies
  • Lead project teams comprised of medical/ technical/creative writers, instructional designers, instructional editors, copyeditors, desktop publishers, medical illustrators, and graphic designers
  • Facilitate open communication between team members to ensure smooth and timely development processes
  • Ensure quality review/quality control and internal standards of excellence are adhered to for client deliverables and to ensure that clients’ objectives and standards are met
  • Establish, track and manage the budgets and schedules for proposals, custom projects, and Informa products
  • Participate in project initiation meetings either in person or by phone (depending on client preferences) and handle logistics (e.g., meeting scheduling, development of agenda)
  • Facilitate project status calls, both internally and externally
  • Maintain contracts and communications with freelancers, as needed
  • Assist sales team in writing proposals and brainstorming about proposal content, as well as “pitching” proposals to clients when necessary
  • Regularly update sales team and Salesforce of key custom project milestones; client issues and sales opportunities relayed to you by clients

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Familiarity with the life science training industry
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

  • BA or equivalent experience
  • Computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheets, SharePoint and Salesforce.com
