Becca loves organizing and managing a team to complete a project or achieve a goal. As a Senior Project Manager at Informa, partnering with clients and keeping everyone in the loop regarding project development is her top priority. Outside of work, Becca cherishes her family time and enjoys photographing family activities and her child’s milestones. She delights in preserving the memories by hand crafting beautiful scrapbooks to tell the stories.
What brought you to Informa? Any interesting jobs along the way?
The recommendation of a friend! Seven years ago, she suggested Informa may be a good fit for me and encouraged me to apply. I took her advice and the rest is history! I would describe Informa as being an expert in the training field. It has been rewarding gaining more knowledge on that side of the pharma industry. Fun fact: Earlier in my career I was the Public Relations Assistant at Dunkin’ Donuts Corporate for Fred the Baker. You may recall him from the “time to make the donuts” commercials.
If you were given a surprise day off from work, what would you do?
Take pictures and scrapbook them and go for a hike with my dog Cooper. Fun fact: Cooper’s portrait adorns Informa’s main conference space. He’s our unofficial company mascot!
What is something you want to learn or try?
Compete in a triathlon. I swam competitively in the past, so this would be a new and fun challenge.
Venezuela — specifically Margarita Island. You can’t beat the tropical weather! Because I knew people there, I was able to enjoy the experience travelling like a local. Now, on my bucket list, I would love to travel to the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. I imagine seeing the reef would be breathtaking and it would be great to explore the Aussie culture.
What’s on your playlist?
I listen to Spotify, so it varies a lot…a little old school rap, some alternative, some country, some R&B, etc.
If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you want cast as your character?
Alyssa Milano. Some people remark we have a resemblance. Besides her success with acting since she was a child, Alyssa has raised a significant amount of money to support clean water charities. It’s great that she uses her celebrity status to make a positive impact in the world.
I want to read The Art of Racing in the Rain, by Garth Stein. I saw the movie so now I want to compare that to the book. The story of a race car driver is cleverly told from the point of view of his dog, the narrator of the story.
What is something you can’t resist?
Chocolate. Oh, and puppies!
If you could meet a famous person, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Amelia Earhart. I admire her courage and grace under pressure. As an early female pioneer, she was persistent and paved the way for women at such an early time in our history.
What might people find surprising or interesting to learn about you?
I love to garden! Also, I have tattoos. Growing up, I went to school with Stephen King’s kids. They were my neighbors.
What is your view on balancing your career and family life?
It’s a delicate balance, but it’s important to work hard so you can play hard!
And work hard she does! Becca’s get-it-done attitude, stellar organizational skills, and good sense of humor are appreciated by colleagues and clients alike. You think you have what it takes to be a Project Manager at Informa? Send your resume to firstname.lastname@example.org
