Position Summary

The Sr. Project Manager reports directly to the Project Management Manager. The person in this strategic position works autonomously to manage Informa’s strategic accounts. They are a team leader, solution-oriented, and highly organized. Strong attention to detail and a customer-service mindset are key requirements of this position.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Successfully manage two or more strategic accounts
  • Manage large-scale product launch initiatives including pre-launch training, workshop development, and sustainability training
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Informa project development team and the sales training/marketing departments of pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device companies
  • Coordinate and lead project teams comprised of medical/technical/creative writers, instructional designers, instructional editors, copyeditors, desktop publishers, medical illustrators, and graphic designers
  • Proactively ensure team members have materials they need to begin development
  • Facilitate open communication between team members to ensure smooth and timely development processes and to create additional opportunities to support our customers
  • Manage and maintain Smartsheets through project completion in order to track progress and ensure resources are properly allocated to keep project on time and within scope
  • Ensure quality review/quality control project deliverables to ensure that clients’ objectives and standards are met
  • Establish, track, and manage budgets and schedules for proposals, custom projects, and Informa products to ensure profitability goals
  • Lead custom project initiation meetings either in person or by phone (depending on client preferences) and handle logistics (eg, meeting agenda)
  • Facilitate project status calls, both internally and externally
  • Maintain project files (final mechanicals, Sharepoint, materials for the client)
  • Maintain contracts and communications with freelancers and ensure/approve proper invoicing
  • Proactively assists sales team in writing proposals and brainstorming about proposal content
  • Regularly assists the sales team in “pitching” proposals to SAT accounts
  • Regularly schedule onsite client visits
  • Regularly update sales team and SalesForce of key custom project milestones; client issues and sales opportunities relayed to you by clients

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Over 18 months of experience in PM role at Informa Training Partners or related experience in similar role
  • Proven record of successfully managing a product launch
  • Successful management of SAT account for at least one year
  • Experience within the Pharma/Biotech Training Industry
  • Minimum 6+ years of project management experience
  • High level of motivation and adaptability
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of skills sets required to create blended learning/sales training solutions
